Our self-adhesive ALMO Atacana construction period sealant reliably protects wooden elements from moisture and water ingress during the construction phase, transportation and storage. This prevents damage such as discoloration or material deformation due to swelling.

Installation instructions Atacana Weather protection membrane

Step 1: Preparation of the substrate

Make sure that the substrate is clean, dry, free of dust and grease and not adhesive-repellent.

Step 2: Positioning the construction time seal

Position the Atacana construction time waterproofing along the marked areas, such as the imprint or chalk line. Ensure an overlap of 15 cm, but at least 10 cm. Then roll the Atacana back again.

Step 3: Preparing the separating strips

Peel off the wide release strip, starting at the slit, and lay it back along the roll. Roll back the Atacana construction sealant completely and rub it down well to ensure optimum adhesion.

Step 4: Rolling out and fixing

Peel off the wide separating strip and roll out the Atacana onto the surface. Use a broom or squeegee to press it firmly onto the surface.

Step 5: Secure overlaps

Again, ensure an overlap of 15 cm, but at least 10 cm. Remove the narrow separating strip and press the overlap thoroughly to ensure a tight seal.

Step 6: Completing the installation

Check the installation to ensure that the Atacana construction time waterproofing is evenly and firmly applied to the substrate. If necessary, repeat the steps for optimum coverage.

Step 7: Sealing connections

Carry out the connections on mineral substrates or wooden materials with Versa® Uni Tape 100 to ensure a reliable seal.
